Brian Dyches, FRDI
International President

Brian is an authority on global retail design, marketing and customer experience elements such as social media & behavioural characteristics in various consumer environments.  Most recently Brian has worked on projects for brands such as Kate Spade, Maracay Homes, Lucky Brand Jeans, BCBG, Prana and Comerica Banks.

Having traveled the globe identifying first-hand consumer traits & behaviours central to sales and retention strategies, Brian combines this invaluable information with more than 28-years experience in architecture, interior design, and specialty/chain store retailing to provide his clients with a unique combination of real-life expertise. 

Brian has addressed more than 30,000 leaders in civic, hospitality, financial, leading retailers and brands on five continents.  Brian has been a frequent speaker at key global events such as the NRF, EuroShop, GlobalShop and FENALCO in Colombia. 




Ken R. Fuller, RDI
International Vice President

An award winning designer that combines planning and construction management expertise to orchestrate the delivery of innovative environments resulting in an improved customer experience and increased sales. 

Experienced Project / Client Services Director for architecture, engineering, and interior design of retail, foodservice and hospitality facilities. 

As a Disney Imagineer; designed, planned and developed projects for Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, creating hundreds of themed environments across the U.S. and Asia. Also led the design development of the Disney Store worldwide, producing entertaing stores with exceptionsl revenue.
Provides Design, Construction / Project Manager and Quality Assurance services resulting in consistent delivery of new and renovated facilities.

In 2010 Fuller Studios, LLC was created to showcase Ken’s watercolor painting and concept designs. Prior to this, he served as Senior Director of Client Services for ACS, Architectural Construction Services. Ken applied his business-focused management, design and construction experience to conceptualizing ideas and building profitable endeavors.

Andrew McQuilkin, FRDI
International Chairman

A career that spans almost 30 years; starting at Walker Group/CNI 83-86, Freelancing with Patrick McQuilkin 86, Fitzpatrick Design group 87-98, and Gensler 98-01. In 2001 Andrew came to Cincinnati from New York to take a lead creative position at FRCH in the Department Store/Large Format studio planning and design teams. He is now the Retail market Leader for BHDP Architecture, providing an international perspective, vision, and a hands-on capability. Using his experience and knowledge, Andrew incorporates a thorough understanding of strategic concepting, planning, merchandising, design, Client management, project management and construction documentation. As the current International President and together with the International Board, they have successfully engaged a focused effort on the three key areas : bring value to our membership, being the industry authority, and providing professional development. The foundation they have re-established is strong and will become the springboard for moving the Institute forward. Andrew believes that everyone who is elected has the responsibility to advance the mission of the Retail Design Institute and its members. The International Board, including the Chapter Directors, needs to continue to grow and foster a spirit of collaboration, dedication, and accountability.

International Communications Chair

Lee is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ikonic Tonic, a global transmedia brand strategy firm, as well as the International Communications Chair of the Retail Design Institute (formerly Institute of Store Planners). He has been awarded numerous branded environmental design, technology, creative media, visual merchandising, and logistical management assignments with the world’s leading retailers, banks, commercial real estate groups, and media companies including, but not limited to: Apple Computers, Luxottica, T-Mobile, Radio Shack, Equity Office Properties, Lowes, Home Depot, Stratus Media Group, The Outdoor Channel, and the Extreme Sports Channel, to name a few. Experienced in roles with fast paced, high profile, consumer driven, international Fortune 100. 500, and 1,000 clients, complex business models, and interactive social environments, Lee’s diverse background includes 360odelivery solutions that comprise traditional, new media, and emerging technologies.
