Welcome to the Seattle Chapter of the Retail Design Institute. We are a diverse group of designers, architects, graphic designers, suppliers, retailers, educators and students with the goal of advancing innovation and collaboration of the creation of selling environments. Just as we are surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest our chapter which encompasses Washington, Oregon and Idaho is surrounded by some well known retailers in the country if not the world. Retailers like Starbucks, Nordstrom, Costco, Eddie Bauer, Amazon, Microsoft, Nintendo, Tommy Bahama, REI, Columbia Sportswear and Nike are just a few of our friends and neighbors. The advancement of innovation and collaboration happens through our chapter meetings, presentations, networking events and retail walking tours and it is the energy and enthusiasm from our members that makes the Seattle Chapter stronger every day. Chapter President's Message
Seattle chapter members and future members,As we move into the New Year and as I move into my new position as President I would like to thank you for your support and continued involvement with the Retail Design Institute. I am very excited about the evolution our chapter is undergoing and the renewed energy from all of our members. Your new executive committee has had a few meetings and we have established several goals for the upcoming year. First is to increase the frequency of our meetings and events, second is to maintain the quality and relevancy of our meetings and finally, increase our membership in the chapter. To reach these goals, we are going to need your help. We look forward to your increased involvement and input on chapter meetings, suggestions on event topics, and encouraging your friends and colleagues to become a member of this dynamic organization. Together our goal of a stronger chapter can be accomplished by everyone.
