A non-profit organization founded in 1961, the Retail Design Institute represents a diverse range of students and professionals dedicated to creating world class experiential consumer environments. We promote the advancement of our industry by developing educational, career building and networking opportunities. The Southern California Chapter currently incorporates the Southwest region(Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico) and Hawaii. Our membership includes Architects, Designers, Art Directors, Developers, Engineers, Store Planners, Strategists, Visual Merchandisers, Educators, Set Designers, Trade Partners, Retailers, Publishers and Students. President's Message

As a member of the RDI, you are part of an incredibly resourceful team of professional individuals with an increasingly diverse range of benefits at your disposal that can enable you to succeed in the business of design. There are a host of initiatives and tools which directly benefit our members, from signature events with key speakers, to networking opportunities or competitions that will promote your business or personal portfolio, supported by a fully functional website platform to engage with the industry at large. One of our core strengths in retail design, is the breadth and depth of skills that we are able to offer and the creative means through which we have sought to differentiate ourselves as a profession, to deliver new retail solutions to the market offering real value and return on investment.
