Eco Edge"Urban Grit" LA Chapter event @ Space 15 Twenty
A wonderful night was had by all on March 12, 2009 @ Space 15 Twenty Urban Outfitters new urban retail space.
85 Guests gathered for music, custom designed t-shirts, give aways, great food, cool music and lots of mingling and mixing!

St. John kindly hosted our "grocery couture" event at South Coast Plaza in their 3rd floor boutique.
An amazing night was had by all!
The Retail Design Institute student awards were presented to the 1st and 3rd place winners - Simon Ho and Natasha Palewicz both made the trip down from Washington State to join our celebrations, unfortunately our 2nd prize winner - Gwen McConn could not make it.
A stella performance from the Art Institute students who decorated the mannequins provided by St. John in a outfit made from food. Congratulations goes to all who participated in this night.

Los Angeles Chapter President, Brian Dyches, attended IIDEX / Neocon September 25-28, 2008 to deliver a speech on how the "Retail Design" world has exploded into a geographical wonder of opportunities. From the new "A" list that includes Dubai, Shanghai and Moscow to the next emerging powerhouses of Sao Paulo, Istanbul and Macau, Canadian designers have powerful futures. Brian Dyches will take his audience on a visual tour of these new centers of design while providing valuable insights on the key retail trends and directions these economies are headed and how we can adapt the ideas presented to our local markets.
Brian Dyches, RDI/IIDA is the International Secretary of the Retail Design Institute and has over 18 years of experience in retail design. He is presently the Studio Principal of International Store Design for Little Diversified Architectural in Costa Mesa California and has spoken at numerous international conferences including Euroshop, GlobalShop and International Design China.
