Founded as the Institute of Store Planners in New York in 1961, the Retail Design Institute is a professional association of retail design specialists with over 1000 members in 15 chapters worldwide including our Sydney/Melbourne chapter, which was formed in 1992.The Retail Design Institute is the only international professional body totally dedicated to developing and supporting retail design professionals engaged in the design and planning of retail selling environments.
The Retail Design Institute stands on the following principles:
