Mark’s career in this industry has its foundation in Retail, starting as a Store Manager in 1986 with Fairweather. Mark worked for Fairweather for 10 years, 4 as store manager and 6 as Manager of Design & Construction.
For the next 4 years Mark moved to Ontario Store Fixtures, the largest store fixture manufacturer in North America as Accounts Director. With responsibility for a group of 35 Account Managers, Project Managers, Design & Engineering Specialists and Administrators, Mark’s team managed the business development and customer service efforts for the OSF Vendor Shop Group. This group serviced clients like: Tommy Hilfiger, Levis, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Nautica, Perry Ellis, Dockers, DKNY, Joe Boxer, Esprit and many more.
In 1999 Mark moved to a small project management company, Store Contract Management. While there he built the fixture business with a small and nimble team of dedicated Project Managers. At SCM the concept of working with a cross section of key fabricators selected to best suit the clients needs was developed and served very well for the likes of Skechers, Cole Haan, Via Spiga, Alexander McQueen, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Ben Sherman, Bebe, Lladro Galleries, Merrell Shoes, Christian Dior and many more. While at SCM Mark began to expand efforts internationally completing projects across Europe and to the Middle East, Japan & Korea. Steve Hekman and Mark Badhwar first worked together at SCM and it was their team work and dedication that developed so many great accounts and built so many strong relationships.
Building on all the years of client and account development as well as strong relationships with retailers, architects & designers, real estate professionals and many more industry specialists Steve & Mark joined forces in 2003 to form Hekman Badhwar Global Partnership to focus on delivering the best results for their clients, working with selected key manufacturing specialists on a global basis delivering exceptional interior environments. Since 2003 the client base has grown and the geographic scope widened with substantial work continuing across North America, Europe and now much of Asia and the Middle East. Adding to the continuing business of many clients noted Mark & Steve have developed many new clients like: Judith Lieber, Samsung, Abercrombie & Fitch, Mont Blanc, Tumi, M&M’s, Aldo Shoes, Puma, Bloomingdales, Saks 5th Ave, Coca Cola, Ghirardelli Chocolates, Motorolla, Alessandro Dell’Acqua & Ralph Lauren,
