Richard Frères began to develop his strong interest in art/architecture, and photography in the 7th grade after taking basic art & drafting classes, and discovering the magic of creating images with his dad’s SLR camera. These creative outlets eventually led to degrees in architectural design from LA Harbor College and Cal Poly Pomona. Soon after school, having honed is photography skills, (mostly self taught), he started a practice in architectural photography from a live/work studio in the Hollywood Hills, and at the same time, plunged head long into the ever changing world of retail design in 1973 at Chaix & Johnson.
Richard’s diverse skills and experience has allowed him to develop retail designs and concepts world wide, from the site/building development of complex mixed use projects through all phases of merchandising, planning and construction. His design career has allowed him and his family to experience life to its fullest with travel and adventure.
