HIGH MOUNTAIN GOLF OUTING

High Mountain 2009 Golf Event.

When our chapter goes green, it must mean golf! Our annual golf outing at the High Mountain Golf Club in Franklin Lakes New Jersey was so successful that even the rain stayed in Pennsylvania while everyone enjoyed a full day in the sun. Special thanks goes to our event sponsors Lido Lighting, ESPA, DF Pray and hole sponsors, Wiedenbach-Brown, and Armstrong Commercial Flooring whose generosity made this event possible.

The beautifully designed course with Par 71, 6,513 yards and 18 holes, is quite a challenge. But we persisted. Who knew we had so many capable swingers? After a cocktail hour, special prizes for scores and more than 35 door prizes, gift bags, golf clubs, an enormous gift basket, various accessories and a 50/50 draw paying $235 were awarded to a very rambunctious crowd over a tasty dinner buffet. Everyone got something. The attendee list was filled with celebrities including retailers, product manufacturers, designers, facility directors, and architects. We were extremely pleased to host Jos. A. Banks and Lord and Taylor. Everyone was catching up with old friends and making new ones. Unfortunately, no one got the hole in one prize worth $10,000. Joe Demeri, our chapter chairman, got closest, missing by 36 inches. Sorry Joe!

As a surprise, Joe hosted an after party for everyone at his home. With more food, drink and an outside deck lit with candles, you could not have asked for a better host and camaraderie. The event ran from morning to night (it is our longest event of the year) and is one that always creates a yearly spirit of friendship and renewal for our membership, guests and the industry. It is definitely worth repeating, so
