Savvy, Resourceful, Dislikes Ties

Completely customer-focused, imaginative, and witty.  As a strategic retail designer for Seattle's EHS Design, Paul understands that ultimate success for his clients will not come from creating spaces they can identify with, but rather from creating branded experiences their customers will respond to. He does this by clearly understanding who that customer is.  Then, he develops designs that meet all the functional requirements while telling one single coherent story.  Some call this a branded retail experience; Paul just calls it smart business.

Paul's early experience was in set design for media giants Disney and NBC.  This, like successful retail design, is all about emotionally connecting with an audience.  He took these lessons learned early on and has applied them to the creation of successful retail environments for a broad range of retailers.  Whether the product being sold is fashion apparel, consumer electronics, or financial services, the same rule applies...make a connection.

Clients include: Bebe, Boeing, Bostonian, Clarks of England, Coca Cola, Eddie Bauer, Gart Sports, General Mills, Helly Hansen, HMS Host, Nike, Pony, Radio Shack, Russell Athletic, Sears, Sebago, Sprint, Starbucks Coffee Co., Walt Disney Co.

Paul was born on Long Island, New York and raised in Scottsdale Arizona.  He has lived in Seattle for the past 16 years with his wife and two young children. When not remodeling his Mathews Beach home, he can be found kayaking on Lake Washington.

"A strong brand evolves with time but doesn't react to every trend or alienate loyal customers. Design amplifies the brand through consistency and a connection to the customer."
