James is responsible for the creative output of the studio & building Little’s reputation on the West Coast for design excellence. A key component of the role is building the brand experience, through delivering innovative retail solutions which consider every touch-point of the consumer journey – architecture, interior design, furniture & product design, branding and environmental graphics.
This multi-disciplinary approach is applied to a diverse range of categories within retail – both new & re-modeled projects including (but not limited to) fashion apparel stores, automotive showrooms, supermarkets, hypermarkets, shopping centers & mixed use centers, restaurants cafes & bars, sales offices, exhibition stands, FMCG, cosmetics & perfumery displays and telecom /hard-line services stores.
Day to day responsibilities include design quality, design methodology, marketing, new business development, recruiting & staff development with hands-on project skills to effectively design & implement projects.
In addition to retail, James Farnell plays a role in the development of Little's other workplace groups for Workplace (financial, interior, architecture, office) & Community (civic, college, community, schools) projects.
