With bachelors degrees from Bellevue College in Interior Design and the University of Washington in Advertising I am deeply interested in how a built environment is a genuine reflection of a company's brand. How a place can become more experience than just space. How does a company define who they are and how do we let a customer see that we understand who they are.
I love to dive deep into what makes a place meaningful and think critically and emotionally about how people will experience a place and how it makes them feel. The fun is in designing spaces that unfold, tell a story and activate people's curiosity. It may be a building, but it is always about relationships.
As communications chair for the Retail Design Institute's Seattle Chapter I get to meet a diverse group of people who share an avid interest in the built environment. There is always a new perspective or idea. Practicalities combine with artistry. What a wonderful field to be working in!
