Madison Décor Studio is a 3300-sq.-ft. design center in North York devoted to the Nobu Residences in Toronto, a multi-phase, multi-structure project. The dkstudio team was asked to elevate the often mundane process of choosing finishes and details for condo homeowners in the Madison low-rise residential building.

Homeowners are greeted at a reception area that leads to the bar lounge reminiscent of VIP lounges in high-end fashion boutiques. The lounge houses a bar on one side and a large display wall of sample finishes on the other. Premium sample packages mounted on sliding tracks can be mixed and matched to intrigue the clients while they sit on a designer sofa sipping drinks. High-gloss materials are carefully balanced with the contrasting epoxy concrete floor to create a luxurious look while still reminiscent of a design studio.

Judges thought the minimalist design and materiality delivered on the concept goal of evoking a luxury fashion house.
