Happy New Year!
It's been a couple of months since our last newsletter, we've missed you! A few weeks ago we rang in the new year at miniature golf club, Holey Moley, in Santa Monica and it was an absolute blast. For those of you who didn't make it you should go to this place with a group, it's a great experience.
Meaningful conversations, laughter on the putt-putt course, and delicious bites made this event one to remember. Venues like Holey Moley aren’t just fun, they’re catalysts for genuine connection and creativity. Experiences like these reinforce the value of the the Retail Design Institute community and spark new possibilities for collaborations!
Holey Moley is a new-comer on Third Street Promenade, and is among the new venues to bring the crowds back to this part of Santa Monica. The staff is animated and wonderful and the putt-putt courses are creative and humorous. Splitting into small groups to play mini-golf really bonded new friends, making it an unforgettable evening. It was an event to remember.

Euroshop 2026 + Euro-a-go-go
Euroshop 2026 just wrapped. The World’s largest Retail Trade Fair, which takes place every 3 years in Düsseldorf, celebrated its 60th anniversary at the same time. Under the motto Global Retail Festival, the world’s leading trade fair became an international meeting place for the who’s who of retail for five days. It is the premier event to explore cutting-edge trends and innovations in store design, technology, lighting, fixtures, visual merchandising, energy management, and more.
As if that isn't enough, Euro-a-go-go creates a magnificent guest experience for the North American travelers, with retail tours, keynote speakers and a road trip to experience Europe's retail innovations and cultural experience.
We plan to post more about the stories and insights learned during this event by the some of the attendees on the Southwest + Pacific Chapter sometime soon. Stay tuned.

Upcoming retail conference....
Shop! Marketplace 2026, New Orleans
This year's retail trade fair and conference, Shop! Marketplace, takes place in New Orleans, the Big Easy; that wonderful city with so much history, jazz, and Louisiana culture and cuisine. We can't wait to see the innovative trade booths by the exhibitors and hear the keynote speakers and network with some of the most talented minds in retail today.
For members of the Retail Design Institute, it is also the time where we have our board of directors in-person meeting and get to socialize at the PAVE event. The show takes place in May, you can register HERE. Hope to see you there!
