PNW Event Recap: Emerging Designers

On Thursday, the PNW Retail Design Institute hosted a truly inspiring Emerging Designers Event, a day dedicated to supporting and uplifting the next wave of talent in our design community. Held at Arcadis, the event brought together students, recent graduates, and industry professionals for a series of meaningful experiences and conversations.

Participants took part in various engaging activities designed to support their professional growth. Portfolio reviews, resume critiques, and on-site headshots offered emerging designers practical insights and confidence as they prepare to enter or advance within the field. The event created space for authentic conversations, valuable feedback, and new connections with aspiring professionals and experienced mentors.

A highlight of the day was the panel discussion, where industry leaders shared their experiences and advice on breaking into the design world. Thank you to Mark Mappala, Lucy Baraquio, Nomi Cooper, and Eleazar Juarez-Diaz, for lending your voices to such an honest and motivating conversation. Your stories and insights offered encouragement and direction to all who attended.
