The Retail Design Institute’s New England Chapter is pleased to announce the election of its new Chapter Officers, who will lead the Chapter beginning November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2027.
This dedicated team of retail design professionals brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and leadership to advance the mission of The Institute across New England—fostering collaboration, education, and community among designers, architects, and industry partners throughout the region.

President: Paul Koch, RDI, Project Architect, Corgan
A Professional Member since 2020, Paul brings over 25 years of architectural experience working with retailers and design firms, managing projects from concept through completion.
“I am so excited for the opportunity to lead the New England Chapter of RDI. My journey into the world of retail began when I was a teenager working at a hardware store. I learned that retail is more than just a transaction; it's about building community and creating memorable experiences. This passion for connecting with people and finding innovative ways to meet their needs has shaped my career and my desire to lead this chapter,” said Koch.
Paul’s vision for the Chapter is to strengthen community and expand membership throughout the region by creating networking opportunities, partnerships, and mentorship programs that support the growth of both established and emerging retail design professionals.

Vice President: Amanda Johnson, RDI, Account Manager, IA | Interior Architects
A Professional Member since 2018, Amanda continues in her role as Vice President.
“My vision for the RDI New England Chapter is to build a more connected and engaged community—one that fosters professional growth, encourages knowledge sharing, and inspires creativity. I’m excited to contribute to a space where members feel supported, valued, and motivated to lead the future of retail design,” said Johnson.

Secretary: Yara Addas, RDI, Senior Job Captain, IA | Interior Architects
A new addition to the Chapter leadership, Yara has been a Member of the Institute since 2025.
“I am honored to accept the nomination for Secretary of the New England Chapter for the 2025–2027 term. In this role, I look forward to contributing through an organized approach, documenting ideas, suggestions, and decisions from board meetings, and helping the team stay on track. I will also work to ensure clear communication across our membership and support the planning of events that showcase design innovation and create valuable networking opportunities for professionals in the retail design industry,” said Addas.

Treasurer: Jason Marcoulier, RDI, Senior Director – Global Design & International Construction, Inspire Brands
A Professional Member since 2017, Jason has been an active leader in the New England Chapter, previously serving as Vice President and Membership Chair.
Appointed to the role of Treasurer for the upcoming term, Jason brings extensive experience leading global retail and hospitality design initiatives at Inspire Brands and will continue to support the Chapter’s growth and operational excellence.
The Retail Design Institute congratulates the New England Chapter Officers on their election. Together, this leadership team will continue advancing the mission of The Institute and elevating the retail design community across the Northeast.
