The Southern California Chapter has elected new leaders for the term beginning November 1, 2020 through October 31, 2022.
Justin A. Hill, RDI, NCARB, was elected Chapter president. He is principal, market leader, for MG2 Corp.in its Los Angeles office. “In our ever-changing industry, connectivity continues to be critical to the success of our goals and efforts,” Hill explained. “The Institute is meant to provide that connectivity with a healthy dose of thoughtfulness so we achieve personal growth along with our professional development. My goal for the Southern California Chapter is to facilitate the growth and development of each of our Chapter members and partners while promoting the broader industry we hold so dear.” Hill joined the Institute in 2011.
The Chapter’s new vice president is Melanie Gifford, RDI. She is director of business development for Sargenti Architects, Los Angeles and served as Chapter secretary and treasurer for the 2018-2020 term. Gifford joined the Institute in 2014. Amanda Barnes, Trade RDI, was elected Chapter treasurer. Barnes is showroom manager for Louis Poulsen, Culver City, Calif. She joined the Institute 2020. Adam Jones, Allied RDI, was elected Chapter secretary. Jones is coo and managing partner of RHDC Studio, San Diego. He joined the Institute in 2014.
Kim Helgeson, RDI, Chapter president for the 2018-2020 term, moves to Chapter chairman.
