Greetings Retail Design Institute Southwest + Pacific Chapter Members!
We have a new Chapter name! Welcome to the Southwest + Pacific Chapter of the Retail Design Institute.
We've been planning this a long time and we can now reveal our re-branding to everyone which we're so excited to share. Our Chapter covers a huge area with many US States and regions (Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Hawaii). We've always found the name "Southern California" misleading and misrepresenting all the communities we are proud to host under our banner. The name change is in an effort to be more inclusive, and frankly more accurate, of who we are.
We are grateful for the large and diverse group that makes up our Chapter and feel the new name can now truly represent our hard-working members.
Upcoming Events
Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration
Thursday, November 16, 5:30-8:00 pm PT
To kick off the joy and merriment of the season, Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive will become a pedestrian thoroughfare for the public, to welcome everyone and celebrate the holiday lighting of the most festive retail sector of LA. Luxury retail will be on full display along with live musical entertainment, roaming performers, photo activations, food trucks, a wine garden, an appearance by Santa and a fireworks grand finale at 8:00pm. Come join the Retail Design Institute for a champagne reception before the festivities at Eleventy Milano, 9546 Brighton Way, Beverly Hills 90210. Free for RDI members, $20 for non-members.
5:30-6:30 - Champaign reception at Eleventy, hosted by Silvestri California
6:30-8:00 - Walk Rodeo to enjoy the lights, holiday windows and entertainment
8:00 - Fireworks!

Congratulations to Kelly Ramsey!
Retail Design Institute Trade Member of the Year
We're so proud of our very own Southwest + Pacific board member, Kelly Ramsey, of Silvestri California, as being nominated by the Retail Design Institute as Trade Member of the Year for the Class of 2022 this past month!
Kelly is being recognized by the institute for her outstanding service and dedication to the retail trade and to supporting the institute in its efforts to promote and connect strong retail design. For all of us on the Southwest + Pacific board, we couldn't think of a more worthy winner. Kelly has been a dependable, strong, and wonderful professional and friend to work alongside.

Open Chair Position
Retail Design Institute Southwest + Pacific Chapter is looking for a new Chapter Secretary to join the board as we prepare for the 2024 events. The Chapter Secretary will be in charge of monthly meeting minutes and our communications and announcements through various platforms as well as being an active board member that participates in quarterly board of directors meetings with the International Office.
