Happy Spring! And Happy Spring Fashion! All over, we're seeing the casual-cool, laid-back styles breaking out onto the streets, parks and beaches. There were some great fashion shows in Los Angeles this past March and lots of new Spring lines to check out at your local shopping centers. It's always fun to spruce up your wardrobe for the warmer weather!

SKIMS Sunset Blvd Flagship Tour

The Retail Design Institute Southwest + Pacific Chapter is excited to announce a tour and reception celebrating the recent opening of the SKIMS West Coast Flagship on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood on May 21. The self-guided tour will take place at the store anytime from 5:30-7:00 at 8569 Sunset Blvd (pick up your tour guide pamphlet in the front of the store). Afterwards, we will be hosting a dinner + reception across the street at Chin Chin from 6:30-8:00, with members of the design team that created the flagship location.

Recap of New Year Celebration

It was so great seeing everyone at our New Year Celebration in February at Zinc Cafe. It was so uplifting to see all the smiling faces coming together to kick off the new year on such a positive note. Good Times at Shop! Marketplace Charlotte

Earlier this month, the Retail Design Institute Chapter members from all over the globe came together for the Shop! Marketplace retail convention held this year in Charlotte, North Carolina. Southwest + Pacific Chapter President, James Botha, was there and we held our annual Board of Directors in-person meeting at the offices of Little Diversified. Till next year!

Board Member Spotlight: Alex Contreras, Southwest + Pacific Membership Chair

For this month's member spotlight, we'd like to introduce Southwest + Pacific's Membership Chair, Alex Contreras. Alex joins us with extensive tenured industry experience, fulfilling global and regional senior leadership roles at Tiffany & Co, Coach, and Giorgio Armani and Loro Piana. 

He also received his Associates of Arts in Design and Visual Communications from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. We are so happy to have Alex on our board, say hello at our next event!
