Innovation Award for Fixturing

Ippolita is an Italian jeweler known for wearable works of art.

The Jeffrey Hutchison and Associates | Ippolita team designed a 500-sq.-ft. flagship at 900 North Michigan, that breaks all the typical jewelry store rules.

Inside, visitors are greeted at the Engage Zone, the first of a series of zones designed to assist their product discovery.

First, nothing is under glass so customers can touch, feel and interact with the works made of gold, silver and precious stones. By thinking inside the box, the team created a customer experience that felt as if they had stepped into a jewelry box.

Magnetic felt wall panels allow for flexible merchandising using “floating” displays -- making items easily accessible for customers to touch and try on.
