Maitri, Pittsburgh High Road Design Studio
Maitri Medicinals wanted to continue its commitment to serving patients in the emerging Pennsylvania cannabis industry and to supporting the revival of local communities. The High Road Design Studio team worked with the owners to open a second dispensary location in the heart of Pittsburgh. The challenge was to bring the Maitri brand to life in an existing two-story structure that previously housed medical offices.
Dramatic illuminated signage marks the entrance and welcomes customers to the lobby. From there, they are directed to the second-floor reception desk set against a wall of textured black columns and mirrored glass that is punctuated by an internally lit channel letter sign, a familiar repetition from the main entry. A small adjacent lobby lounge set under a dropped ceiling of stamped tin tiles provides an intimate setting. A variety of seating options in sophisticated, colorful fabrics infuse a comfortable, residential appeal.
