The PNW Retail Design Institute gathered for our second event of the year, bringing together our vibrant design community for an evening of connection, inspiration, and industry insights. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with peers, engage in meaningful conversations, and explore standout retail design projects.
The night began with an introduction to the RDI PNW Chapter Board, where board members and volunteers introduced themselves and shared exciting plans for 2025. This was followed by a compelling firm spotlight presentation from Arcadis, featuring two remarkable retail projects. Cindi Kato and Kate Lee took us behind the scenes of the award-winning Petco NYC Flagship, showcasing the innovation and strategic design that brought the space to life. Anna Victoria and Mary Heapy then presented the stunning transformation of Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, highlighting the creative process behind this iconic retail experience.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success!
And a special thank you to Arcadis | Seattle for sharing their inspiring works, hosting this event, and supporting PNW RDI as always!
It’s always inspiring to see the innovation coming out of the PNW design community—especially projects like the Saks and Petco transformations. As someone in the home furnishings space, I appreciate the attention to both form and function in retail environments. If anyone’s ever looking for thoughtfully designed bunk beds in Canada, our team focuses on craftsmanship that blends durability with aesthetic appeal. Thanks to the organizers and Arcadis for a great recap!
