Retail Design Institute Heartland Chapter Announces Election of New Chapter Officers for 2025–2027 Term

The Retail Design Institute’s Heartland Chapter is pleased to announce the election of its new Chapter Officers, who will lead the Chapter beginning November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2027. This dedicated group of retail design professionals brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and creativity to advance the Chapter’s mission of fostering collaboration, education, and community engagement across the region.

President: Michael Trenary, RDI, Associate, Arcadis

A Kansas City–based brand strategist and interior designer with Arcadis’s retail store design team, Michael has served the past two terms as the Chapter’s Vice President, driving marketing and communications initiatives that strengthened visibility and engagement.


“As President, I look forward to building on this foundation by expanding our presence in the Kansas City market and creating new opportunities for connection and growth. I am committed to fostering collaboration, expanding membership, and ensuring that our Chapter continues to be a valued platform for inspiration, education, and networking,” said Trenary.

Vice President: Jessie Sanders, RDI, Project Manager, ArcVision

A Professional Member of the Institute since 2004, Jessie has more than 20 years of experience in the retail industry and has served as the Chapter’s President for the past term.


“As Vice President of the Heartland Chapter, I will continue to work alongside our board to grow the Chapter and curate exciting events for our design community. I’m excited to share my passion for retail design and continue serving our members,” said Sanders.

Secretary: Janine Buettner, RDI, Director of Business Development, ArcVision

A member since 2009, Janine brings nearly 20 years of retail design and development experience and has served the Heartland Chapter in several leadership roles, including President and Treasurer.


“My goals in this role are to support the Board in growing our Chapter while developing fresh and engaging content for our members and attendees. It’s an honor to continue my commitment to both the organization and our industry,” said Buettner.

Treasurer: Maximus Coric, Trade RDI, Founder, Vizex Branding

A Trade Member since 2022, Maximus brings his lifelong passion for print and design to his new role.


“My vision for our Chapter is to grow consistently, targeting 50 solid contributing members while expanding our reach to include more vendors and retailers,” said Coric.


The Retail Design Institute congratulates the new Heartland Chapter Officers and invites members and colleagues across the design community to join in celebrating their election. With their combined talent and commitment, the Heartland Chapter is well-positioned to continue advancing the retail design profession and fostering meaningful connections throughout the region.
