The Retail Design Institute’s Twin Cities Chapter is pleased to announce the election results of its Chapter Officers, who will lead the Chapter beginning November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2027. This leadership team represents a dynamic mix of experience and dedication, united by a shared commitment to advancing the retail design profession and strengthening community connections across the Twin Cities region.

President: Heidi Waller, RDI, National Account Executive, SurfaceQuest
A Professional Member of the Institute since 2021, Heidi currently serves as Chapter President and has been instrumental in driving engagement among members and industry peers.
“I am a retail design professional who is invested in connecting with others in the retail design community. My vision is to grow the Twin Cities Chapter through engaging retailers and professionals through engaging events throughout my term,” said Waller.

Vice President: Kenwood McQuade, RDI, Principal Design Architect, Target Corp.
With more than 30 years of architectural experience—half of that within Target’s Store Design department—Kenwood brings deep expertise and perspective to his role.
“As I look back over my career in retail design, the one constant that stands out is how much better design is when there is connection and inspiration between peers. The conferences, site visits, benchmarking, and sharing of trends have always helped me to be a better designer. As we rebuild our working relationships after the pandemic, I feel that connection and in-person interactions are more important than ever. My goal for our Chapter of RDI is to help foster those connections, build our membership, and have some fun!” said McQuade.

Secretary: Paul Richardson, Trade RDI, Marketing + Strategy, Acrylic Design Associates
A Trade Member of the Institute since 2022, Paul previously served the Chapter as Marketing + Communications Chair. He brings strong strategic and storytelling experience, supporting the Chapter’s growth and communication initiatives.

Treasurer: Nick Trinh, RDI, Director of Brand Activation, The Bernard Group
A Professional Member since 2024, Nick brings over 25 years of experience in design strategy, fixture design, and brand activation for major retail environments.
“As a board member, my goal is simple: strengthen engagement, foster partnerships, empower the next generation of retail leaders, and expand RDI’s presence in the Twin Cities and beyond,” said Trinh.
The Retail Design Institute congratulates the new Twin Cities Chapter Officers and invites members and colleagues across the design community to join in celebrating their election. Together, they will continue to advance the mission of The Institute and inspire collaboration, mentorship, and innovation across the region.
