Grab your creative black-tie garb and get packing for the Retail Design Institute’s Annual Gala & Fundraiser taking place the evening of May 24, 2017 at Current Chelsea Piers, New York City. The competition among new projects opened in 2016 has been judged and the winners notified by email.
For those who want to show their support of this year’s winners and the next generation of design talent, the Institute is offering a choice of sponsorship levels. Sponsors are guaranteed seats at what is expected to be a sell-out event as the Institute’s annual celebration of design returns to New York City, and where the 2016 Store of the Year will be revealed.
Ranging from Gold to Bronze Sponsorships, proceeds will benefit the Student Design Competition Prize Fund. Annually the Institute awards on average $10,000 to design students competing in its Student Design Competition. Since 1972, the Institute has awarded in excess of $200,000 to winning students. The competition is known for providing a design challenge complete with real-world RFP. Many student design competition participants go on to land internships and full-time positions at leading retail design firms.
The Gold Sponsor receives seating for 10 guests at a table located in the VIP section. The Gold Sponsor enjoys numerous on-site opportunities for recognition as well as exposure long after the event. From custom signage indicating the Gold Sponsor table, they will have choice of full-page ad placement in the Gala program and logo placement on Step and Repeat photo backdrop to branding of complimentary Uber for guests. The Gold Sponsor (or client) in invited to contribute gift cards or merchandise to gift bags presented to all attendees (200 max). The Gold Sponsor will be listed as a of the Student Design Competition and receive six months of banner ads on the Institute’s newly revamped website, plus a full-page ad in Stores of the Year 46, the Institute’s compilation of winning entries. The Gold Sponsor package is priced at $10,000.
Silver Sponsor receives seating for 10 at a high-visibility table. Custom signage and logo on Step and Repeat photo backdrop, Institute website banner ads, program recognition and invitation to contribute gift cards or merchandise to guest gift bags. The Silver Sponsor package is priced at $5000.
Bronze Sponsor includes five tickets at a shared table. Recognition in Gala program and invitation to contribute gift cards or merchandise to guest gift bag. The Bronze Sponsor package is priced at $2500.
All sponsors will be included in the Awards Gala DVD and recognized by name during the event.
A very limited number of single tickets may be available at the end of April, priced at $300 for non-members; $250 for members.
