Hello esteemed RDI Members and Industry Partners,
Â
My name is Bonnie Russo, and I am honored to serve as President of the RDI Colorado Chapter. I look forward to working alongside our members, board, committees, and volunteers as we continue to foster connections, share knowledge, and support Colorado's vibrant retail community.

With nearly 20 years in the architectural profession and the past 15 years focused on retail, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional professionals and support projects for some of the industry's most recognized brands. The relationships I have built throughout my career have reinforced my belief in the value of connecting with others, exchanging ideas, and learning from the diverse perspectives that make our industry so dynamic.
Colorado is a vibrant and evolving retail market, with continued investment from national brands, expanding mixed-use developments, and growing communities throughout the region. As our market continues to grow and adapt, I believe there is tremendous value in fostering strong professional relationships and creating opportunities to learn from one another.
Â
As President, I am committed to building upon our organization's strong foundation by supporting networking, education, and meaningful engagement across our industry. I look forward to connecting with many of you throughout the coming year and working together to continue strengthening Colorado's retail community.
Â
To help lead these efforts, I am pleased to introduce our Vice President, Mallory Wharton, whose experience and dedication will be invaluable as we work together to serve our members and advance our mission.
Â

Hello from sunny Denver!
Â
My name is Mallory Wharton, and it is an honor to be elected as the Vice President of the new Colorado Retail Design Institute chapter.
Â
My 6+ years of experience working closely with some of the largest worldwide retail brands has given me a unique perspective into the ongoing obstacles that come with high-volume nationwide store openings and renovations. My expertise falls in commercial architectural as-built surveying and code compliance, where I get to work closely with nationwide architects, engineers, landlords, field workers, and city officials throughout the planning, design, permitting, and construction process. I specialize in project management with a focus on high-volume and complex projects utilizing 3D scanning and modeling via Revit, code compliance, and due diligence.
Â
My goal with my new role at RDI is to strengthen the communication and connection between high-level planners/designers in the office and the workers on the ground during construction. I am looking forward to working with Bonnie to grow this new chapter!
Â
Thank you,
Â
